HAMMERDIN [SMITE]

- ~Swirls [Smite]~
The famous bird effect above your head (aka โSwirls-) from Assassin's Mind Blast also appears in Smite and Shock Wave. The problem with these birds is that until they circle above your head โ any attack sign accompanied by any damage will trigger the Faster Hit Recovery animation. Without the swirls, FHR will only occur when you receive damage that takes at least 1/16 of your hp in one hit. The higher the percentage of hp taken โ the higher the chance, up to 100%.
So in short, while you are vortexed, any damage will trigger FHR.
With skillful hands, we can use this trick when playing Druid, Hammerdin, Smiter.
The Smite skill makes your enemy spin like MB. This allows you to do a trick: Smite > Foth > Throw > Teleport > Hammer + Concentration .
This trick is a bit difficult to learn, but it's deadly once honed. If done correctly, we'll land on our enemy right when FotH hits his head (or even a little bit earlier. Our vortexed enemy will be FHR after FotH, so there's about a 60% chance of hitting him with the Hammer (which you'll use right after Namelocks Teleport). The trick is a bit random and ping-dependent (which will be explained later). It can fail due to bad timing or weird server syncs. When done properly, I'd estimate the Nec's chance of bubbling is 40%.
Now for how this trick performs. If you try to perform this trick when FotH > Throw > Teleport , you will notice a delay between FotH and TP, about 1 second. During this time, your enemy can easily bounce out of the radius of the Namelock Teleport.
To do it without delay, a certain issue must be explained. Surely some of you are wondering why I mentioned before: Smite> Throw> FotH> Teleport> Hammer + Concentration
and should do the combo below
Smite> FotH> Throw> Teleport> Hammer + Concentration
The problem is that if you try to do this trick in Single Player (no ping there), you will not succeed, no matter how hard you try. The game itself has a 1 second delay embedded after the FotH transmission. So this trick can only be done on a single server and for the following reason:
You need to press Throw before FotH. That way the Game application will send an additional data packet to the server and โmessโ it up so that he ignores the delay. Pressing Throw after FotH is useless.
What we do:
Find the target, Smite it, click a random location with Throw (LMB โ Left Mouse Shift), and right after that (0.5 seconds) we FotH (LMB โ Right Mouse) (btw it is not necessary to aim right at the Name or Namelocks them, it works even if you click outside โ i.e. no Targets needed). Right after that, we Grab the target with Teleport (RMB โ Right Mouse) and move the cursor below the knee. You can even do a Chainlock (no need to aim and refresh the Lock with RMB):
Smite> Throw> FotH> Throw> Teleport> Hammer + Concentration
The trick works better with high ping (120-130). Level 1 players even connect to proxy servers to increase their ping (if it's too low. With perfection, this trick almost never happens).
As in the case with Nec, the trick will be more effective when used on a running Necro (Smite is better used with Fanaticism. The breakpoint difference is quite small. Catching a Necro with Smite but without Fanaticism will be much harder).
If you try to use it after Chainlock, you might get tricked into an IBS train (aka bone Prison invisible train) or accidentally hit a Golem/Oak and get hit with Missiles in the face.
If you still don't know what IBS Train is, you can refer here.
This trick is a must if you want to kill an ES Fire โ Light โ Cold Sorc. However, a cunning Sorc can spam you with Fire Balls and make you FHR. If you make a mistake, you can get stunned and inhale the Fire Balls until you faint.
It's safer to run around a bit with Vigor + Charge right after you hit with Smite and only then do the technique: Throw > FotH > Teleport > Hammer + Concentration
